Manchester-based independent label AnalogueTrash reaches a milestone of releases with the latest of their label samplers bearing catalogue number AT0100. It’s full of exclusive tracks from the roster and debut appearances from two new acts.
From its inception in 2009 as a series of alternative and electronic music club nights in the heart of Manchester’s clubland, AnalogueTrash has spent over a decade championing inclusivity, diversity, social conscience and great, forward-thinking alternative music in its roles as both a label and promoter. Staying true to its mantra of “No Boundaries. No Scenes.”, the AnalogueTrash: Label Sampler Vol. 5 captures the same spirit and experimentation that was apparent in the first sampler released back in 2014.
Many of the artists appearing on that first volume are here to celebrate this landmark achievement; with tracks from ATOMZERO, ded.pixel, Factory Acts, Vain Machine and Vieon joining material from newcomers, Le Fomo, Murderers and Spirits in the Pillar, and label stalwarts IIOIOIOII, Nature of Wires, Paragon Cause, Spray, St Lucifer, STOCKSNSKINS, The Cowls and The Frixion.
Despite a challenging, often uncertain year for the label and many of its artists, AT0100 sees the TeamTrash family firmly stepping up to provide a mix of new, exclusive and remixed tracks that is very much a statement of intent for 2021 and beyond. As is tradition, all royalties from streams and sales of the label sampler will be donated to Refugee Action to help this fantastic charity continue to support and campaign for the rights of refugees, asylum seekers and migrants across the UK.
The AnalogueTrash: Label Sampler Vol. 5 is a window into the creative output of the ever-evolving AnalogueTrash family, showing that there continues to be a lot for the label to shout about.
